Women’s Health – Pelvic Floor Therapy

FACT: According to the National Institutes of Health, one-quarter of all women experience pelvic floor disorders which can lead to pain, weakness, bowel and urinary dysfunction, and diminished quality of life.

Women’s pelvic therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy that is used to help strengthen and condition the pelvic floor and may help to alleviate symptoms caused by pregnancy, childbirth, chronic coughing, injury, constipation and aging.

At The GreenFields, we understand the intimacy of women’s issues and offer one-on-one care in a discreet, supportive environment. Pelvic floor therapy is offered in our state-of-the-art outpatient therapy and wellness clinic where we care for a variety of conditions ranging from urinary incontinence to organ prolapse, to sciatica and lower back pain.

  • Customized treatment plans
  • Pelvic strengthening exercises and muscle awareness
  • Soft tissue mobilization, connective tissue manipulation and massage

Our women’s health program is led by specialty-trained physical therapist, Jackie Kraus, PT, DPT. Jackie has been with The GreenFields since 1999 and serves as the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Services.
